    The Clinical Therapist-Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for, but not limited to:

    1. Deliver direct psychotherapeutic and cognitive-behavioral skill based treatments and individual as well as group settings.
    2. Acts as primary professional therapist for cases assigned, and communicates ongoing assessment, treatment, and recommendations to clinical team, including nursing and treating physicians/psychiatrics, on an ongoing basis through chart documentation, team meeting participation, and other informal oral communications as needed.
    3. Fosters engagement of resident into neuro-rehab program and assists in reviewing with team and resident their overall care plans, including the behavioral plan component, as it applies to successful outcome/discharge goals.


    Position Requirements:

    • 3-5 years' experience with an adult inpatient psychiatric or neurological population.
    • Some experiential allowances may be made for a uniquely qualified individual with substantial demonstrated ability.
    • Master's Degree in relevant clinical or Counseling Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a Certified Alcohol and Drug Addictions Counselor.
    • Clinical Knowledge and therapeutic skill in psychiatric and brain injury rehabilitation.
    • Efficient and effective oral and written communication skills, especially documentation of clinical assessment and on-going treatment.
    • Cooperative and proactive interpersonal skills in a teamwork environment. Ability to manage a demanding clinical caseload
